6 medium to large potatoes about 2-3 pounds
peel, wash and cube
Place in a large saucepan and add water to cover potatoes, bring to an even boil.
Reduce to medium heat, uncovered cook until done. (25-30 minutes)
Drain, add a 1/2 cup of heated milk or heavy whipping cream, add 1/4 cup of cubed unsalted butter. Add salt and pepper and mash by hand until fluffy.
